The breathtaking Irwin Agricultural Museum is a must-visit!

Irwin Agricultural Museum is located in Kolhapur, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. A major tourist attraction in the city, no visit to Kolhapur is complete without a stopover at this gem of a place.

Display Collections

True to its name, the museum displays a wide range of agricultural equipment that is farming related. Other interesting collections include collections of ancient Andhra coins, Bronze artefacts and stunning pottery. The main attraction, however, is a magnificent statue of Poseidon, which attracts hordes of tourists monthly.

Getting There

Kolhapur is well-linked via the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus which connects it to major Indian metros such as Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and New Delhi. The National Highway 4 and National Highway 204 also run along the city. The closest domestic airport is located 9 km southeast of the city at Ujalaiwadi.

You can pay a visit to the Irwin Agricultural Museum any day of the week (including public holidays) between 11 am and 6 pm. Entry to the museum is chargeable.
