Belgaum due to its all round pleasant weather is a place that can be visited any time of the year. Also it doesn’t require such meticulous trip planning. The place boasts of many different tourist attractions:
- Yallamma Temple: Your first trip can be planned atop Yellamaguda where this hundred year old temple of Yellamma or Sri Renuka Devi stands high. It is an incarnation of goddess Parvathy amidst a picturesque landscape of Ramalinga hills and Parashghad fort.
- Military Mahadev Temple: As the name suggests, this is one of the few temples on Congress Road that is built and maintained by the army. It was built in the late 1954 -55 by Lieutenant General S.M. Shrinagesh. The adjoining park is an area which is favored by the old and the new alike.
- Vaijnath Temple: A car ride from Belgaum will take you to this temple on the Sundi road within thirty minutes. The chief deity here is lord Shiva and you will feel rejuvenated with the cool breeze touching and caressing your body and mind. There is also a beautiful waterfall in the vicinity which will make you experience the serene presence of nature.
