Explore Yedshi Ramling Wildlife Sanctuary

Yedshi Ramling Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. It is home to a huge diversity of flora and fauna. The sanctuary is spread across a number of villages such as Wadgaon,Bhanasgaon, Yedshi and Kalamb Tehsil. One can say that it is a major tourist attraction in Osmanabad.

The sanctuary is being explored by people from various parts of the country and across the globe. Prominent trees found here are Cassia Fistula, Boswellia Serrata, Acacia Catecgu, Hardwickia Binate, Shorea Talura, Terminalia Paniculata and Dalbergia Latifolia. Other trees include Salai, Hiwar, Sitaphal, Sandal, Arjuna, Teak and Apta.

Apart from trees, YedshiRamlingis home to a wide variety of carnivorous animals like Wolf, Hyena and Wild Boar. There are more than 100 species of birds, including Black Ducks and Peacocks. The best time to visit this sanctuary is from October to June. The nearest airport is at Aurangabad, though the sanctuary can be reached via railor road as well. Professional wildlife photographers usually prefer roads to reach this wildlife sanctuary.
