The historical city of Etawah in Uttar Pradesh is in news for its new Safari Park. Named as the Etawah Wildlife Safari Park, this park will see different types of animals apart from Lions. Set up in an area of 150 hectares, this one-of-its-kind park in India has been granted a budget of 40 crores.
The setup of this drive-through safari park is inspired from the famous Longleat Safari Park in England. Recently, a couple of Asiatic lions were shifted to their new settlement in this park from the Lucknow Zoo.
People will have the luxury to roam in the pre-determined forest area of the park where they can enjoy the beauty of the nature and can see lions. Lions and other animals will not be caged and will have the freedom to roam around in the forest. As of now, Lion Safari facility is only available at Gujarat (Gir Forest) and the Lion Breeding Centre.
